RA’ANANA, Israel – September 2, 2004 – Orca Interactive, a member of the Emblaze Group (LSE: BLZ) and global market leader in developing applications for TV over IP, today announced that Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), an operator of domestic and international telecom services with approximately three million ADSL subscribers in Taiwan, has purchased an additional 10,000 licenses of Orca’s RiGHTv™ IPTV middleware to accommodate growth in one of the world’s largest multimedia on demand (MOD) deployments.

Orca Interactive has provided an end-to-end TV over IP solution for CHT since its initial rollout to more than 20,000 households in northern Taiwan in March 2003. This new purchase of 10,000 licenses reflects the proven success of the initial launch to generate additional revenues for CHT. With subscriber growth expected to reach 1.5 million users within five years, CHT has selected Orca to serve its growing customer base with MOD services including video on demand (VOD), Near VOD (NVOD) and live TV.

RiGHTv XVOD allows operators to supply subscribers with video content on demand and to incorporate advertisements and t-commerce features in an interactive TV service. RiGHTv XBIP allows operators to create and manage live TV and NVOD channels over broadband networks.
